about

A beautiful Island off the west coast of Scotland where we played every summer during the Glasgow fair. We were teenagers then, on the road with The Bay City Rollers This song is a memory of that time and of now when I go there with my family.

lyrics

Visions of Arran, when we were wild and free all the boys in the band and me. Sailing to Arran, Chasing the blues away, I was looking for love I'd say.
Far beyond my understanding, why life gets more demanding, slower I go.
Caught up in life's confusion, shattering my illusion.
Somewhere to hide, somewhere to run to. Somewhere to find your lucky star. I'll race you up to the top of the hill, I might come last but with time to kill, my spirits willing and my heart is filled with laughter.
And we can run like the wind. Feel the sun shine down on your back again. All I needed was the time to spend around you. And we can run like the wind. To the dappled ponies and your feathered friends. Run like the wind, like the wind.
Secrets if Arran. Under the rocks and stones, we were looking for life unknown. Visions of Arran, seeing you young and free, I'm as happy as I can be.
Far beyond my understanding, why life gets more demanding further I go. Caught up in life's confusion, shattering my illusion.
Somewhere to hide somewhere to run to. Somewhere to find yourself again. I'll watch you climb to the top of the tree, see as far as the eye can see, a sailing ship on the deep blue sea is calling.
And we can run like the wind. Through the moonlight shadows on the silver sand. All I needed was the time to spend around you. And we can run like the wind, to the dappled ponies and your feathered friends. Run Like the wind. To the end.
